Paddy McCourt was at his captivating best again yesterday with a wonder goal for Finn Harps against Sligo Rovers.
The Celtic cult hero joined the League of Ireland outfit in February and is entertaining fans in a way that very few other players can get close to.
Finn Harps are battling away against relegation but they do have one very watchable player capable of making the scrap to avoid the drop bearable.
Sligo were a goal ahead when McCourt decided to intervene in the 82nd minute with a trademark mazy run before sliding the ball into the net.

Sickening result but for a moment Paddy McCourt’s goal had topped Ricky Villa’s as my all time favourite. It was just different class.

Parents should be taking their kids to watch the likes of Paddy McCourt instead of letting them playing FIFA on the PlayStation.

Goal 1-1. Paddy McCourt’s best moment in a Finn Harps shirt. Brilliant individual goal on 82 mins.

A point would have kept Harps above the three relegation places but in the closing minutes former Rangers (IL) wonderkid Rhys McCabe, once tipped to be the next John Fleck, scored for the visitors to lift them a point ahead and into eighth place.
During his five years at Celtic season 2010/11 was the most memorable with the Derry Pele scoring seven goals in 25 appearances, 17 of them as a substitute.
