Jozo Simunovic returns to Celtic still uncommitted in terms of international football.
The hoops defender sat on the bench through Bosnia’s defeat in Cyprus and last night’s 4-0 win away to Gibraltar.
Having came through the ranks with Croatia and not been called up to the full international squad the 23-year-old decided to switch his allegiance to Bosnia.
Mehmed Bazdarevic the Bosnian coach had helped convince the defender to make the switch but despite leading comfortably against Gibraltar he resisted the temptation to put Simunovic on and claim the defender as a Bosnian.
The latest results in Group H leave Bosnia in second place but with just 14 points they probably need to win their last two matches to go through as one of the eight best runners up into the play off stage.
In their remaining matches Bosnia host Belgium at home on October 7 before completing their campaign away to Estonia three days later.
