Neil McCann is hoping that Celtic’s unbeaten run ends at Ibrox on Saturday.

After taking a 4-0 defeat from Brendan Rodgers side in the League Cup the hurt was obvious in the Dundee boss.

He’d like to see the penalty again, which is codeword for it shouldn’t have been given, Dundee matched Celtic, Dundee missed two first half chances and two late goals didn’t reflect the play. I didn’t think that it was a 4-0 match were among the excuses trotted out by the former Sky Sports pundit

Plenty of punters will be at the bookies today collecting on that 4-0 scoreline which was a popular bet before the match. It was a 4-0 result.

Every manager clutches at straws to protect themselves and their players, especially when they have won just one of their last six matches.

As he put his spin on the defeat McCann talked his way through a post match interview with Radio Scotland in which Celtic’s strengths were discussed.

After 56 domestic matches unbeaten Celtic appear to be strengthening their grip over other clubs.

With his own side failing to stop that run, rather than look at their game at his own game this weekend McCann’s thoughts were still on Celtic.

Tonight it wasn’t us, maybe somebody at the weekend,” he said as he discussed Celtic’s unbeaten run.

On Saturday Dundee face a six pointer away to Kilmarnock, it seems that their manager will be keeping a close eye on the lunchtime kick off 20 miles up the M77.
