Pedro Caixinha believes that Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans should be in the Scotland squad!

Callum McGregor and Darren Fletcher were both watching from the outside as Scotland beat Lithuania and Malta with no Ibrox men anywhere near Gordon Strachan’s squad.

The Scotland boss named a 28 man squad for the double header with a number of them unable to make the bench for either match.

Fuelled by the euphoria of a 3-1 win over Ross County Caixinha believes that his midfield stars should be in the Scotland side.

At today’s broadcast conference the fifth best coach in Qatar explained his thoughts on the international set up saying: “Maybe the two midfielders, Jack and Dorrans, for sure they have qualities to at least be at least in the group.”

Turning to his true blue script Caixinha added: “Not only Scottish youngsters but Scottish youngsters that live Rangers from inside, that you cut them and blue is coming out. If you have that I will be delighted and we are looking for that here, definitely.”

Earlier in the campaign Lee Wallace was capped but in another snub to the club captain there was no mention from his manager about his international prospects.

As usual Caixinha was going through his usual buzzwords and jargon including the old favourite about having the best squad in Scotland.

Even the failure to fund the transfer of Jamie Walker from Hearts wasn’t viewed as a set back while there was further criticism of free scoring Michael O’Halloran.
