Wes Foderingham has signed a new Ibrox deal to stop 10-in-a-row.

The Sevco shot stopper has been in outstanding form this season and was linked with moves to MK Dons and Southend United during the transfer window.

News of his 12 month extension, keeping him at Ibrox until 2020, was given exclusively to the club TV channel with Europe featuring heavily in the interview.

Fodders was in goals for the 2-0 defeat from Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League but despite that set back he shares the dream of Charles Green to hear the Champions League anthem over Ibrox.

I joined this football club to play in Europe, to be on the big stage and I want to be there when the club returns,” he told the gullible.

All the boys here want to be playing in Europe and at the highest level possible – I think I can achieve that at Rangers.

I have been here one of the longest now and I try to use my voice in the dressing room and be a leader as well.

I want to improve on last year; last season was a bit of a disappointment as was being knocked out of Europe at such an early stage as well.

Hopefully we can go one better in the league, win a cup and do better in Europe next season.

I do feel like Glasgow is home now, I have settled in very well, I have bought a place up here and my girlfriend has recently moved up here as well. I am nice and settled and have no reason to leave.”

To play at the highest level in Europe, barring a highly unlikely transfer, Foderingham will have to help Sevco win the SPFL title and get through four rounds of qualifying as an unseeded club.

In order to reach the qualifiers Sevco will have to satisfy UEFA that they meet Financial Fair Play regulations after the governing body investigated the licence issued by the SFA this season.

Had Sevco progressed past the first round a full scale investigation would have been set up but with Niederkorn progressing the SFA were spared from a very awkward situation.
