Pedro Caixinha and Kenny Miller had a blazing row yesterday at Murray Park yesterday which ended with the 37-year-old banished from the first team.

This morning the Daily Record and The Sun both led with Miller’s omission on the back pages but there was little detail beyond references to Monday’s post mortem into the defeat from Celtic.

According to Phil MacGiollabhain, who first exposed the dressing room unrest in July, things got much more serious yesterday with no prospect of a peace deal between the two men.

After Caixinha became critical of Graham Dorrans and Ryan Jack during training Miller intervened with the dispute becoming personal.

When the fifth best coach in Qatar suggested that the 37-year-old wasn’t capable of playing 90 minutes the condition of golden boy Carlos Pena was brought into the argument.

Caixinha will be in the spotlight tonight at Hamilton but he knows that with Miller’s strong media contacts almost everything happening inside Murray Park and Ibrox is being leaked out with a frenzy developing for a victim to emerge.

Even at the age of 37 and with a contract that runs until next May it’s unlikely that Miller will be the victim.
