The burly presence of Jim Traynor was forced to rewrite history as he stepped in to Lee Wallace’s media conference.
One rogue reporter managed to get in a question about the liquidation of Rangers and the ‘row’ between the SPFL and SFA over titles won while fielding ineligible players.
Waldo looked totally lost by the question but as he likes to do the Ibrox media master was quickly on the case.

“The club wasn’t liquidated, that’s quite wrong,” Traynor piped in clearly forgetting some of the articles that he penned at the Daily Record.

News that the club wasn’t liquidated will be welcomed by shareholders and Debenture holders who were left with worthless pieces of paper when HMRC refused a CVA in June 2012.
Two hundred and sixty seven creditors were left high and dry ranging from Police Scotland to florists and taxi firms.
Five years after taking on the liquidation, BDO have still to produce their final report and pay out a penny to the creditors.
