Ally McCoist believes that Brendan Rodgers will wait for injury news from Ibrox before deciding on his team to face Sevco tomorrow!
The zany former Question of Sport skipper walked away from management almost three years ago and hasn’t had a sniff of a management job since taking gardening leave.
Rodgers knows his starting XI two games in advance as he utilises his squad and is highly unlikely to be trying to second guess the condition of Bruno Alves’ thigh or Declan John’s calf strain.
Pedro Caixinha is already without Lee Wallace but can call on Euro 16 hero Lee Hodson to come in at left-back with Scotland’s greatest ever defender Ross McCrorie on stand-by for his first top team start.
Asked about the likely Celtic team selection McCoist told BT Sport: “I think it will depend greatly on Rangers’ injury situation.
“I think Brendan will look at Rangers injury problems and that might affect his team.
“In the respect that a back-three, if it’s not done correctly, against better opposition will give you serious problems.”
Celtic will have Moussa Dembele, Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic available after recent injury scares.
