SPFL sponsors Ladbrokes have delivered a snub to Pedro Caixinha by voting Micky O’Halloran as Player of the Month for October.
While the fifth best coach in Qatar quickly ditched the flying winger within a month Tommy Wright has turned the 26-year-old into the best player in the division with St Johnstone picking up 10 points out of 12 from their first dour fixtures.
O’Halloran barely featured under Caixinha and was one of 14 players that the former Santos Laguna boss decided to ditch from the best squad in Scotland.
Even after his flying start to life at St Johnstone the Ibrox boss was still highly critical of O’Halloran who is only out on loan until January.
While O’Halloran took the players award Tommy Wright was voted Manager of the Month to make it a double award for the Perth club who drew 1-1 away to Celtic in their last fixture.
On Saturday St Johnstone host Hibs.
