Stewart Regan has saluted a new era in Scottish football with Shelley Kerr in charge of the woman’s team today for the first time in a game against Hungary!
Developing the woman’s game may look good on Regan’s CV as he looks for a lifeboat to elsewhere but it won’t be able to disguise the multiple governance failures on his watch.
After years of claiming that there was nothing questionable about the UEFA licence given to Rangers in 2011 the matter has been handed to a QC and onto the in-house Compliance Officer.
The start of a new era. Good luck to our new national coach @Kerr5Shelley in her first match today, away to Hungary ko 4pm #OurGirlsOurGame https://t.co/EwWc31IjTf

With that uncomfortable truth out in the open Regan wants everyone to believe that the SFA is now a model of sporting governance.
That will be the organisation that welcomed Andrew Dickson into it’s Congress and which did nothing about the Schedule 36 notice served on Rangers (IL) by HMRC in 2009.
During Regan’s tenure the Scotland senior side hasn’t qualified for a major tournament despite UEFA explaining the European Championships to include 24 countries.
While Iceland, Wales and Northern Ireland all made the knock out phase in France last summer Regan was masterminding a new era in woman’s international football.
