When the Scotland u-21 squad was announced today Anthony Ralston’s name was missing.
Calvin Miller, Ross Doohan and Mikey Johnston are in the squad to face England and Latvia but it was a surprise to see the teenage defender missing.
According to a report in the Daily Record the SFA had been informed that Ralston was unavailable but no detail was given for the absence.
Before his side’s match with Anderlecht Brendan Rodgers explained about the knee injury that ruled the defender out of international duty.

Ralston appeared as a substitute last week in the 4-0 League Cup win at Dundee but wasn’t among the substitutes at Ibrox on Saturday.
The teenager made a big impression in the Champions League tie against Paris Saint Germain where he had a few memorable clashes with Neymar.
Mikael Lustig is expected to continue at right-back against Anderlecht but Ralston could be back in favour for the weekend visit from Hibs.
