Sevco drop to fifth in SPFL table

Pedro Caixinha’s day went from bad to worse today with Sevco dropping down to fifth in the SPFL table.

At noon today the fifth best coach in Qatar was looking to cut Celtic’s lead down to just two points but that went up in smoke as the hoops won 2-0 at Ibrox.

So far this season the Ibrox side have dropped ten points- last season Celtic made it six-in-a-row dropping just eight points along the way.

As he began his video analysis of his latest Ibrox defeat the news coming in from elsewhere in the country must have distressed the Ibrox supremo.

A 13th minute goal from Paul Hanlon gave Hibs full points away to Ross County to take Neil Lennon’s side a point above Sevco.

Down the A9 St Johnstone came from behind to beat Hamilton Accies 2-1 easing Tommy Wright’s side three points clear of Caixinha’s side.

Should Motherwell win at home to Aberdeen tomorrow Sevco will fall into sixth place ahead of Friday’s trip to face Hamilton Accies.
