Mark Benstead has slammed the great Ibrox makeover.
The Sky Sports presenter couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the latest cover up of the so-called iconic stairways.
While the Main Stand, renamed after hard-line boss Bill Struth a decade ago, is a listed building the stairways only appeared in the early nineties to reach the Club Deck build with the steel of Murray Metals.

Looking increasingly grubby and dirty the glass stairway was costing too much to keep clean with the company opting for a garish blue cover up rather than an industrial clean.
Even Sevco fans have complained about the new look which is in line with other ‘upgrades and repairs’ carried out on the stadium.
Since maintenance was put on hold by Dave Murray a decade ago there has been increasing concerns about the condition and safety of the third biggest stadium in Glasgow.
When Phil MacGiollabhain put in a Freedom of Information request to Glasgow City Council for correspondence relating to the stadium safety certificate it was refused on public interest grounds!
