Ryan Christie played a key role as Aberdeen bounced back from their League Cup defeat to beat Motherwell 1-0 at Fir Park today.

Playing in centre midfield the loan Celt was heavily involved as the Dons dug in to secure three points thanks to Andy Considine’s scrambled effort in the 57th minute.

While the final touch wasn’t a thing of beauty Christie showed great awareness to turn and back-heel an effort onto the post with Considine knocking in the only goal of the game from the rebound.

After missing out at Celtic Park last week Jamie Lindsay was on the bench for Ross County until the 65th minute of their 1-0 defeat from Hibs.

Scott Allan’s return to the Dundee team lasted 53 minutes before he was replaced by Mark O’Hara as Neil McCann’s side shared the points with Kilmarnock.

Despite playing for the Celtic Development League side in midweek Joe Thomson was missing from the Livingston squad that won 2-1 away to Falkirk.

In the same division Sam Wardrop played the full 90 minutes as Dumbarton beat Brechin City 2-1 at home.

Two days after signing a 93 day deal Jamie McCart went straight into the St Mirren side that beat Queen of the South 3-1 at home.

Down in League One PJ Crossan was a half time substitute as Alloa crashed to a 5-2 home defeat from Albion Rovers.
