Frank McAvennie knows a thing or two about having a good time after following Celtic right through his teens until joining St Mirren as a professional.

The party instincts continued through his playing days with some legendary stories about commuting from London to play for Celtic during the Centenary Season.

Not long after the final whistle was blown on a Saturday the striker would be in a taxi to Glasgow Airport and a weekend in the bright lights of London before the Monday morning flight back to London.

Stringfellows wasn’t on the menu in Munich but from mid morning Celtic fans were certainly enjoying a sunshine break in the German city.

Thousands poured in to enjoy themselves in various ways with a crate of beer from a supermarket the option for many while others enjoyed traditional Bavarian dining where the locals know how to cook up something special.

In a month’s time Paris will be the setting but after the sights and sounds of Munich the French capital has got a bit of work on it’s hands.
