Moussa Dembele has earned his first call up to the full French international side.

The striker has just recently returned from injury but has been named in the French squad to face Wales and Germany with the matches scheduled for November 10 and 14.

Dembele has been a regular in the French u-21 squad and now has a clear path towards next summer’s World Cup Finals in France.

Celtic signed Dembele in the summer of 2016 from Fulham with the young Frenchman going on to score 32 goals in his debut season.

A double against Manchester City in the Champions League brought him to the attention of an international audience as did a double against England’s u-21 side.

Dembele is expected to start tomorrow’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich with another date coming up against German stars later in the month on international duty.

Celtic have never before had a player capped by the French national side.
