Paranoid Pedro Caixinha believes that he has snuffed out one of the Ibrox moles.

Since losing 2-0 to Celtic last month details of angry team meetings have been reproduced on the back pages of the Daily Record and the Sun.

Kenny Miller was dropped from the squad that faced Hamilton on the back of those revelations but Caixinha is still bothered by leaks going back to last season.

Sevco go to St Johnstone tomorrow night but the fifth best coach in Qatar can’t get over the fact that he believes his team was leaked to Tommy Wright ahead of the final match of last season.

On Wednesday Steven McLean reacted to Caixinha’s comparison of Morton and St Johnstone by suggesting that the Ibrox boss would be better off trying to stop the leaks from within the club which struck a nerve with Caixinha.

Speaking to The Sun he said: “I never referred to the level of the teams. Did I refer to level? No.

I say the two teams’ formation and the style of play is the same, so it is going to fit for us in the preparation but his problem is not about that. His problem is that he referred to leaks, for me to be more aware about the leaks, right?

Do you know why he refers to that? Last season when we went to play St Johnstone, it was the last match, remember?

I never changed my schedule, I never change my programmes and I don’t have any connection with the other clubs.

We trained at 10am the day before the match. Normally in that day, we might know the first 11. Okay? We know how we are going to start.

Well, do you know what time St Johnstone trained that day? Afterwards.

You know why? Because of the leaks, them expecting to know our 11, so they could train after they knew it.

So maybe that is the concern now. Maybe they are not going to know it.”

It seems that there may be a leak/grass at the St Johnstone end of Caixinha knows that they knew his starting XI.

Jordan Rossiter will miss the trip to Perth but is expected to resume training in the next 7-10 days.
