Hourihane doesn’t hold back

Conor Houihane didn’t mince his words when he was quizzed by Unibet for their twitter page.

The Aston Villa midfielder was connected to a lie detector as he was grilled in a light hearted Question and Answer session.

After the usual Shoot! Style questions he was asked if there was a club that he secretly hated- and didn’t flinch with his answer!

Hourihane was born in Bandon near Cork and moved to Sunderland as an apprentice but failed to make the breakthrough.

It was a similar story at Ipswich Town where he spent two seasons without making a top team appearance before his career took off after moving to Plymouth in 2011.

His form at Holm Park earned him a £250,000 move to Barnsley in 2014 followed by a £3m move to Aston Villa in January 2017.

In 10 Championship appearances for Steve Bruce’s side Houlihane has scored five goals taking Villa into seventh place.
