Pedro Caixinha won’t be walking away from Sevco.

The fifth best coach in Qatar was under intense pressure to quit yesterday as angry fans demanded answers for the Betfred Cup defeat from Motherwell.

After 25 matches in charge of Sevco Caixinha has still to win three matches in a row with a lengthy charge sheet.

Three defeats from Celtic (two at Ibrox and one in a semi final) plus home defeats from Aberdeen and Hearts has put the pressure on as well as a first round Europa League KO from Progres Niederkorn.

Caixinha has no real front line managerial experience but knows the value of a three year contract that could sink Sevco if they have to pay him off.

After telling the broadcast media that his players were an embarrassment Caixinha sat down with the daily newspapers with the Daily Record reporting it in Q and A style.

Q: Some are questioning whether you should be Rangers manager. You are as determined as ever?

A: That’s the way I am, the way I need to be at this club. Normally I lead by example.

Q: Do you feel under any more pressure?

A: I’ve already given you my definition of pressure and thank God I’m not in those conditions. I hope never to be. If I have one day like that I’ll feel under pressure.

Pedro’s definition of pressure is not being able to pay the bills or buy food at the end of the month.
