A Celtic side containing some big names beat Atletico Bilbao 2-1 last night in the Premier League International Cup at Woking.

Eboue Kouasi, Kundai Benyu and Odsonne Edouard were all in Tommy McIntyre’s side as was Liam Henderson.

Mikey Johnston gave Celtic the lead in the 14th minute but Bilbao equalised early in the second half.

It took an own goal on the hour mark to give Celtic victory which keeps their hopes alive in the tournament.

Celtic lost their opening match 6-0 to Swansea but now face Manchester United in their final match still in contention for the knock out stage.

The Premier League International Cup is for u-23 sides, on Tuesday Celtic host Bayern Munich in the UEFA Youth League.

In the Development League Celtic are facing a big backlog with just three matches played, five less than most of their opponents.
