The dejection of David Edgar

The latest Hearts and Hand podcast has proved another smash hit following Sevco’s 2-1 defeat at Dundee.

Pain and misery is etched all over David Edgar’s face as he goes through another lesson in reality from a Dundee side that had drawn once and lost five of their previous six matches.

A decade ago Edgar became the media go-to guy to discuss the problems at Ibrox, revelling in the fame he brought out an autobiography before becoming the victim of an internal fan dispute.

Graham Murty is given a gentle put down, damned with faint praise as a nice guy but throughout the 10 minute video the board is the main target for anger with numerous indiscriminate attacks on players also thrown in.

Summing up the hurt he says: “The support feel that they are being taken for mugs, I certainly do…. I think the board are well meaning, we all think that but it still adds up to incompetence. They are going to get a torrid time at the AGM, they deserve it.

The AGM is coming up, it’s going to be brutal, it’s going to be blood thirsty.”

Despite the noise and social media anger a few jibes at Celtic, mentioning who the people are, demonising Mike Ashley and Neil Lennon will be enough to keep the gullible onside at the AGM as administration hovers on the horizon.
