Bayern Munich fans staged another ticket protest last night.

Ticket prices for yesterday’s Champions League win over Anderlecht averaged 80 euros with some season tickets for the Allianz Arena cheaper than the cost of three Champions League away trips.

Despite the rapid rise in money for playing in the Champions League it seems that clubs still feel the need to milk as much as possible out of supporters.

German football is the envy of fans across Europe with supporters still central to the game and considered at every turn.

Many Celtic fans paid 100 euros for last night’s match against Paris Saint Germain with the cost of a ticket now likely to be more than a night in a city hotel.

Fortunately the Bayern fans watched their side win 2-1 which paves the way for Celtic to finish in third place in Group B.

A win, draw or even a two goal defeat at home to Anderlecht will be good enough to see the hoops move on into the last 32 of the Europa League.
