Joey Barton has hit out at the on and off air Jim White.
The Sky Sports presenter has been working with TalkSPORT over the last year but unlike other hosts won’t declare any club allegiance.
White’s fondness for anything Ibrox related is well known and won’t come as any surprise to those that saw his Brian Laudrup interviews while with STV.
Earlier this week Barton was highly critical of Everton caretaker boss David Unsworth with White jumping to the defence of the Goodison man- on air.
Yesterday Barton hit back revealing: “Jim was criticising me in the studio, but out of the studio he was saying something totally different.
“But Jim’s got more sides than a dodecahedron – we all know that! So we have to take in mind what he says. He comes in here, he’s being mischievous. It makes good radio.
“Jim was in the press box at Chelsea and when Unsworth walked out he said the whole press box gasped.”
With an FA ban for betting on football matches lasting until the end of the season Barton isn’t even allowed to train with a football club or play in friendly matches.
After a brief but lucrative spell with Sevco he returned to Burnley where he has a strong relationship with Sean Dyche.
The Burnley boss is a leading contender for the vacancy at Everton but it’s unlikely that he’ll be reunited with Barton if he makes the move to Goodison Park.
