Despite the biting reality of failing to win 3-in-a-row at any stage this year delusion is still alive and well at Ibrox.

We should not be losing to Hamilton Accies’ runs constantly through tonight’s post match podcast by former media favourite David Edgar.

Despair is written all over his face as he goes through a lonely ten minute rant about his company that includes him trashing most of the players, the management and the board of directors.

Results since appearing in the top flight have been steady throughout, averaging close to two points a game but the weight of the old club looks like burying any hopes for the tribute act.

If that reality had been grasped in 2012 the current side may begin to prosper but deep down Edgar and everyone inside Ibrox today knows that none of the current players will win the SPFL Premiership.

Sharing the pain seems to be theraputic, and for all those Celtic fans looking in don’t ever forget that indeed, they are the people. Be in no doubt.
