Chris Sutton wasn’t in the mood to tolerate any gloating from Sevco fans after Celtic crashed 7-1 to Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.
The result gave some brief respite to fans of the Ibrox club who watched their side get knocked out of the Europa League to Progres Niederkorn in July.
Sutton wasn’t slow to punch holes in Celtic’s display with the decent attacking intentions undermined by defending that could have led to double figures being conceded.
What’s the financial gap between Celtic and the rest of scotland again?

The result kicked off the usual debate about the gulf in class between Celtic and the European elite and how that compares with the difference between Brendan Rodgers’ side and domestic opponents.
While that debate contains no realistic answer there is little doubt that some basic improvements could be made to Celtic’s defending.
Jozo Simunovic made very little impact on the match while Dedryck Boyata was often caught in possession and made to look uncomfortable- confirming the need for a new central defender in January.
