Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side became history bhoys today with a 4-0 win at St Johnstone taking their unbeaten domestic run to 63 matches.

All but one of those matches have been with the Irishman in charge with today’s result taking Celtic four points clear of Aberdeen who kick off at 3pm against Hamilton Accies.

Tributes poured in across social media for the achievement after last week’s draw with Kilmarnock matched the 62 game run of Willie Maley’s side a century ago.

Scott Sinclair opened the scoring for Celtic in the first half with Moussa Dembele putting the points beyond St Johnstone in the 72nd minute.

Celtic’s pressure forced Steven Anderson into an own goal shortly afterwards with substitute Olivier Ntcham completing the scoring in the 89th minute.

Celtic remain undefeated domestically under Rodgers with their next match away to Ross County as they seek to stretch their record even further.
