It was perhaps telling that the player who had featured least this season was Celtic’s star man in the 0-0 draw with Sevco.
Playing in his fourth consecutive match Kris Ajer was outstanding in defence and one of the few Celtic players that looked capable of breaking forward with purpose.
At the start of 2017 the young Norwegian had still to play a competitive game for Celtic but a loan stint at Kilmarnock has accelerated his development.
Terrible from Celtic. Only performers were Brown & Ajer. If Brown is out for any length of time I would be very worried. We need better footballers to play the way BR wants to. No idea why Ntcham never started.

Aberdeen dropping points means our lead at the top remains the same, if there’s any positive from today it’s that, and Ajer

What an absolutely outstanding performance by young Ajer today????????????!…..saved us twice today when Boyata & Brown made mistakes.

Ajer getting better with every game. Brown dictated the midfield and Forrest played well in spells.

As the year ends most Celtic fans are looking forward to seeing a new defensive partnership of Ajer and Marvin Compper.
Game by game Ajer is growing in confidence as he adapts to playing in central defence after arriving as a central midfielder as Ronny Deila’s final signing.
While his team-mates look forward to a three week break Ajer will have to cool his heals and prepare to resume the form that he has showed in the closing weeks of 2017.
