Marvin Compper is expected in Glasgow today to undergo a medical ahead of signing a two and a half year deal with Celtic.
German website Sportbuzzer has revealed details of the deal which is expected to cost Celtic just under one million euros.
Compper won’t be able to make his debut until the Scottish Cup tie with Brechin City next month but his arrival will be a timely boost after Celtic’s shock 4-0 defeat at Hearts.
Central defenders Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata both had days to forget as Celtic’s unbeaten domestic run ended after 69 matches.
Compper was over in Glasgow on Thursday an is believed to have agreed to a move after having dinner with Brendan Rodgers.
At the age of 32 the RB Leipzig defender is older than the usual Celtic signing but Rodgers has gone on record as saying that ‘there aren’t many Kolo Toure’s out there’.
It seems that Compper is about to become the 2018 Toure.
