was surprised by the ease that Celtic beat Dundee today.

First half goals from James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths put Celtic in east street as they picked up the points to go 11 ahead of Aberdeen at the top of the SPFL table.

A possible leg break for Jonny Hayes cast a shadow over the result with the former Aberdeen man taken to hospital after a first half clash with Josh Meekings.

Celtic’s play dropped after the injury to Hayes but before the break Leigh Griffiths added to the opener from James Forrest.

The second half was fairly low key with Celtic somehow failing to add to their two goal advantage at the interval.

Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong were introduced during the second half with keeping his squad as fresh as possible.

Scott Sinclair missed the match through injury but Rodgers expects the winger to be fit for Saturday’s clash with Sevco.
