Tom Rogic has taken to Instagram to confirm his two week injury absence.
The midfielder picked up a knee injury against Anderlecht and has already missed Celtic’s last two matches.
Celtic have five matches in 14 days to complete the year with Rogic’s absence a big blow.
The midfielder has featured in 21 matches this season, scoring six times including the opener away to Sevco in September.
Callum McGregor has been playing in the advanced midfield role in recent matches and looks like continuing in that position away to Hearts on Sunday.
Celtic’s lead at the top of the table could be reduced to two points by kick off time but they will then have two matches before they take on Aberdeen next Saturday which could allow them to restore an eight point advantage.
Aberdeen take on Hibs today at lunchtime while Sevco host St Johnstone at Ibrox.
