Chris Sutton has described the Ibrox managerial situation as shambolic.

The BT Sport pundit was among those that had tipped Derek McInnes to go to Ibrox but has an understanding of the chaotic circumstances of the club.

Dave King’s triumphalism at last week’s AGM highlighted a club being torn in a dozen different directions between a Managing Director, Director of Football and directors supplying the loans to keep the lights on.

With a glib and shameless liar based in South Africa calling the shots.

That coalition of chaos proved too much for McInnes to take on compared to the comfort of Pittodrie where he has daily contact with Stewart Milne regarding every aspect of the club.

Sutton will be on air tonight from Dens Park where he’ll be joined by Neil Lennon and Ally McCoist for the Dundee v Aberdeen match.

McInnes hasn’t said a word in public since Sunday’s defeat from Sevco at Pittodrie but will break his silence with BT Sport before tonight’s match.
