Away to Rosenborg in August Brendan Rodgers didn’t have a striker available for his starting XI.

James Forrest started through the centre then switched to the right when Leigh Griffiths came on as a substitute and scored the decisive goal that took Celtic through to the Champions League Play-Off against Astana.

On Sunday away to Hibs Rodgers has the luxury of having three strikers to select from.

The December fixture list is heavy although the midweek home matches against Hamilton and Partick Thistle should allow a little squad rotation while the weekend games against Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen will require full strength teams.

A year ago the Rodgers Adventure was unfolding to devastating effect, recently there has been suggestions of a staleness about the team while some opponents seems more turned in to stopping Celtic from playing.

Neil Lennon will have a better idea than most about how to ask questions of Celtic, earlier this season Hibs came close to ending the invincible run but had to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw.

With five days to prepare for following the defeat by Anderlecht the squad will be fresh, when the team is announced most eyes will be on who gets the nod to play as striker.
