Within hours of revealing details of a £7m bid for Alfredo Morelos one internet bampot has killed off the ‘deal’.
Leading the way the Daily Record told it’s army of readers that Guangzhou Evergrande were after the Columbian goal ace although by 7.24am the story had been reduced to ‘a Chinese club’.
Just to confirm that this is utter BS – The Record link him to Guangzhou. There are Two Guangzhous in the CSL and BOTH are already at their limit of 4 non-Chinese players in the squad. Neither could buy Morelos. https://t.co/CSdVdOJYps

A year ago Chinese clubs were linked with some of the biggest names in Europe but after the Carlos Tevez deal they are being much more selective with their transfer targets.
Rather than exporting millions of dollars and euros into the hands of players and agents the Chinese authorities have restricted clubs to four foreign signings.
Unfortunately for Morelos, Evergrande already have three Brazilians (Alan, Ricardo Goulart and Paulinho) as well as Toung Gwon Kim from South Korea.
With no genuine interest in Morelos from the English Championship it looks like Sevco have been reduced to knocking back mystery bids while hoping that some club will come in for James Tavernier or Josh Windass to improve their chronic cash flow.
