The chances of Luka Adzic joining Celtic have been reduced with his agent talking up the prospect of a move to Scotland.

While moves for UK based players like Scott Sinclair and Dorus de Vries are fairly well trailed due to previous links with Brendan Rodgers international deals are notoriously quiet.

Only when a move is well underway is anything likely to leak out with details scant rather than an agent talking up a likely move.

Adzic’s agent, Radojica Bozovic is quoted in the Daily Record discussing interest from Celtic with the midfielder previously linked with Leicester and Sunderland

I know that there is an interest from Celtic,” Bozovic said. “But also some other clubs for Luka, but there was no concrete offer.

“We have decided Luka would leave the Red Star very soon. His father, and my godfather, Ivan talked with Mr Terzic (Red Star director of football) and the people from the club.

They told him that coach Milojevic does not seriously care for Luka.”

The 19-year-old seems to match a lot of the criteria required for a Celtic signing but from his comments Brendan Rodgers is looking for more experienced arrivals.

Adzic has played in 14 matches this season including ties in the Europa League which would rule him out of facing Zenit St Petersburg in the unlikely event of moving to Celtic.
