Craig Gordon is expected to be back in action this season.

According to a report in The Sun fears that the keeper had suffered a long term knee injury have reduced following a scan.

Brendan Rodgers was reluctant to go into detail about the extent of the knee injury that his first choice keeper suffered against Hibs but did admit that he would have to look at the goalkeeping position before the closure of the transfer window.

The report in The Sun claims that the scan Gordon underwent revealed that no long term damage had been done and that the injury is unrelated to the knee injury that put him out of the game for three seasons while at Sunderland.

Dorus de Vries replaced Gordon against Hibs but is expected to resume his role as back-up keeper with Rodgers pushing ahead today to bring in a new keeper which could be on loan or in a permanent deal.
