Ally McCoist has reassured Sevco fans that all is well at Ibrox.

The former Question of Sport funny-man was guesting with Alan Brazil on the Breakfast Show on TalkSPORT when the subject of Sevco finances came up.

McCoist was responsible for taking Rangers into administration in February 2012 after failing to deliver European football.

Former Ibrox owner Craig Whyte was welcomed with open arms by McCoist who backed every regime at Ibrox and was rewarded with bumper contracts and shares for one penny by Charles Green.

Rumours are rife that the new club is on the verge of administration but without any detail the former Ibrox manager put all of the blame on Celtic fans!

That’s the Celtic division,” McCoist claimed when asked about administration. “They’ve played to the gallery and you’ve just played right back. Everything’s fine at the moment.

Asked about the Takeover ruling he added: “I think Dave King’s got to legally offer shareholders 20p in the pound for their shares because of the takeover.”

Asked if Dave King has the money, he added: “I hope so.”

With Brazil laughing at the prospect of administration McCoist hit out saying: “Look at your face, it’s shocking what I’m looking at right now!

At this moment in time, I don’t see any problems and hopefully that will be the case. A false alarm.

And I think deep down, every supporter in the country would hope it’s a false alarm.”

As manager of Sevco in the first two years of the journey McCoist was involved in cup defeats from Queen of the South, Forfar, Alloa and Raith Rovers.
