Forrest thrills at Firhill

James Forrest was outstanding as Celtic came from behind to beat Partick Thistle 2-1 at Firhill.

Trailing to a first half penalty from Conor Sammon the hoops were back on level terms when Scott Sinclair scored from the penalty spot before substitute Leigh Griffiths netted the winner.

After seeing little of the ball in the first half Forrest had a storming second period, running from deep to cause havoc in the Thistle defence.

Celtic switched their play from left to right after the break with Forrest patrolling the whole of the right flank after Mikael Lustig was withdrawn for Griffiths.

Even once Celtic had gone in front it was down the right that Celtic channelled all of their attacks as they pushed for a third goal.

The win sends Celtic 11 points ahead of Aberdeen who face Sevco tomorrow night at Ibrox in the battle for second place.
