Sevco have signalled the extent of their transfer ambitions by signing Sean Goss on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old hasn’t played a single minute for Queens Park Rangers this season but is sure to be known as a former Manchester United starlet.

Talk of a £1m plus move for Brighton’s Jamie Murphy or an offer for Kenny McLean or Jamie Walker can now be discounted as Goss is discussed in depth.

Before the transfer window opened Graeme Murty explained that he needed big characters as well as good players to fill the blue shirt.

Murts and Director of Football Mark Allen have been busy putting that list together with Goss the first to meet the criteria with a career total of starting three first team matches- the last of which was in a 3-1 defeat at Brentford in April.

Sevco are hopeful of confirming the appointment of new coach Jimmy Nicholl before they fly out on Saturday to take part in the Florida Cup.
