Graeme Murty has claimed that Sevco’s finance problems have been solved.

It seems that three wins over Aberdeen, a draw at Celtic and bringing in four loan signings has solved the problems that have dogged the club since they were formed in 2012 by Charles Green.

In their last set of accounts Sevco detailed £20m of loans and made a £6.7m loss on income of £29.2m following their first ever season in the top flight.

Pedro Caixinha spent £10m in the summer before being sacked with auditors Campbell Dallas announcing that £4m was required to see out the season.

On top of those problems Dave King faces the cold shoulder after the Court of Session in Edinburgh supported the view of the Takeover Appeal Board that he had led a concert party takeover in 2015.

Despite those issues the man described as a glib and shameless liar by a South African judge has reassured Murts that all is well at Ibrox.

There are lots of people outwith the club who are experts without knowing the inner workings of the club and don’t know what we are doing,” the caretaker boss told The Scotsman.

They say lots of things. I deal with Mark Allen, the board and the chairman and I’m being told by the chairman to make solid football decisions on players in and out.

I’ve done that all the way through and I have his backing. If a decision is reached to go for a player or let one go then it has to be for a footballing reason. I’m not being put under any pressure at all.

I took a great deal from my meeting with the chairman. It was a pleasant meal and it was good to get his vision and how he wants to do it. It’s good to see the depth of feeling he has for this club. A lot of that is missed – his desire to see us at the top of Scottish football.”
