Jamie McCart has joined Alloa Athletic on loan.

The defender was on loan at St Mirren in the first half of the season and could make his Wasps debut in the Scottish Cup against Dundee United.

McCart enjoyed a good run of games with Inverness Caley Thistle in the second half of last season but found games difficult to come by at St Mirren.

The 20-year-old trained with Alloa last night with the League One side already having PJ Crossan on loan from Celtic.

Since the transfer window opened Mark Hill (St Mirren), Joe Thomson (Queen of the South) and Regan Hendry (Raith Rovers) have gone out on loan although all three are still available to play in the Development League. Kundai Benju moved south to Oldham on loan.

On Monday Celtic are scheduled to play Ross County in the Development League at Cappielow with the match kicking off at 2pm.
