Lennon v Clancy

Neil Lennon gave Kevin Clancy some ‘home truths’ during the 2-2 draw between Kilmarnock and Hibs.

The Edinburgh side had taken a two goal lead in the first ten minutes but saw that cancelled out early in the second half.

There was nothing that any defence could have done to prevent Jordan Jones pulling a goal back but it was a different story on the hour mark when Clancy pointed to the penalty spot.

Ryan Porteous had his arms at his side as he moved towards a shot from Alan Power with Clancy instantly pointing to the penalty spot.

Kris Boyd’s penalty was blocked by Ofir Marciano but as the ball hit the back of the net Clancy raced towards Lennon on the touchline.

The Hibs boss made sure that the match referee was made aware of his feelings before being escorted to the stand where he was initially sat beside SFA power-broker Rod Petrie.
