Six years ago Internet Bampots were enjoying a very special moment as Craig Whyte put Rangers Football Club into administration.

Less than two years earlier the myth of the billionaire from Motherwell had been demolished but next to no-one listened to the warnings on social media.

With the SPL and SFA turning a blind eye to Whyte’s ‘turbulent’ business career a new era of dominance at Ibrox quickly unravelled led by Ally McCoist and disastrous footballing results.

News broke that Whyte had been to the Court of Session in Edinburgh on February 13 with Duff and Phelps appointed the following day to protect the club from a winding up order from HMRC.

Incredibly despite being in administration Duff and Phelps tried to add to costs by signing Daniel Cousins as the most unusual administration began.

Recent signing Celik cut his losses while Greg Wylde and Director of Football Gordon Smith departed.

Half a dozen saviours including the True Blue Knights appeared only to disappear as the fans stood by with their hands stuck in their pockets.

Eventually Charles Green was found, Her Majesty refused a CVA leaving the big handed businessman from Yorkshire to purchase a basket of assets from Duff and Phelps before presenting his tribute act to the gullible.
