Celtic fans were outraged by the Daily Record’s coverage of the death of Liam Miller.
It seems that someone at the Glasgow based publisher wanted to go one step further than simply break the tragic news and record the reaction of former team-mates.
With most stories newspapers like to push forward but when it comes to death it is best to stick to tradition and be respectful at all times. Not at the Record.
Let’s all make a concerted effort to #Block the @Daily_Record and @Record_Sport They are anti Celtic and should be banned from Celtic Park. #BlockTheDailyRecord @murrayf00te pic.twitter.com/koY2RIQPOP

I couldn’t give a flying fuck what the ‘actual content of the article is’ @daily_record – whomever writes the headlines, or puts out the Tweets is a scumbag. This isn’t news, it’s exploiting someone’s death for clicks to get Ad Revenue. Fucking shameful. ???? pic.twitter.com/mJeNQFlWtI

Celtic and the Record have had a colourful and troubled relationship over the years but still frequently rely on each other.
In December 2002 their ‘Thugs and Thieves’ account of the players Christmas night out in Newcastle marked a thawing in the relationship.
More recently a back-page question about whether Neil Lennon or Hector the Taxman was more hated at Ibrox required action on both sides.
Without doubt a huge number of Celtic fans look to be offended by a publisher that they no longer but from but today’s treatment of Miller’s death is another low point for the newspaper.
