Saint Mirren have signed Massimo Donati for the run in to the Championship season.
The 36-year-old spent 18 months at Hamilton Accies but announced at the end of January that his contract had been terminated.
Celtic paid AC Milan £3m to sign Donati in the summer of 2007 but after a bright start his form faded before being sold two years later to Bari.
