Chris Sutton has backed Neil Lennon in his anger about the penalty decision awarded against Hibs at Kilmarnock.

The Hibs boss was furious at the decision by Kevin Clancy to award a penalty against Ryan Porteous with Kris Boyd converting after his initial effort was blocked by Ofir Marciano.

Clancy then raced to the touchline where he confronted Lennon and ordered the Hibs boss to the stand where he had to sit alongside Rod Petrie.

Hibs had raced into a 2-0 lead within the first ten minutes but had to settle for a draw with Kilmarnock scoring twice within five minutes.

The point takes Hibs to four points behind Sevco and Aberdeen but after being 2-0 in front Lennon was clearly furious at the impact that Clancy had on the result.

Lennon will almost certainly be summoned by the SFA to explain his actions with the prospect of being hit with a lengthy touchline ban.
