Georgios Samaras is now at his fifth club since leaving Celtic at the end of the 2013/14 season.

The Greek internationalist will turn 33 later this month but after playing at the 2014 World Cup as a free agent his career path has stumbled with current club Samsunspor playing in the second tier of Turkish football.

Samaras turned up in Turkey following a brief stint with Real Zaragoza with Rayo OKC (USA), Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia) and West Brom the other clubs he has been at since leaving Glasgow.

With just one goal from 13 appearances, only four of them for 90 minutes, the former Celt is struggling to make his mark in Turkey with a return to Greece expected in the summer.

Samaras has never played professionally in Greece with Dutch side Heerenveen giving him his big chance which led to a move to Manchester City.

In 165 starting appearances for Celtic Samaras scored 73 goals over five and a half years.
