Stephen Craigan has backed down on his late night criticism of Mikael Lustig.
As an attention seeking pundit he can accuse the Celtic defender of play acting but as a coach of the Motherwell Development League side he needs to show a little more diplomacy.
It seemed that late on Saturday night he had his BT Sport head on when he slammed Lustig but by Sunday afternoon he was on the retreat and more measured as a football coach.
Pat iit was an observation that’s all, if you don’t like it then fine. No personal attack as I don’t know him. No motivation either as he’s a good player. That’s your opinion though which you’re entitled to, likewise I’m allowed one.

I was watching the highlights and thought that was his game over after the tackle and his gestures. Then I saw him later on and couldn’t believe he was still playing. My point is, was it necessary that’s all?

Lustig as brave as always????. Every foul on him initially looks career ending, then he recovers thankfully????

Craigan’s earlier tweets were quickly challenged by Celtic supporters as the brutality of Callum Booth’s challenge and the leniency of Steven McLean was exposed.
While Lustig kept his eye on the ball Booth looked at his opponent, raised his boot with his studs cracking Lustig on the kneecap.
As a defender Craigan must have been involved in challenges like that and also have seen the effect on team-mates.
On March 18 Celtic face Motherwell at Fir Park.
