Stephen Craigan was involved in an amazing late night attack on Mikael Lustig.
With a dual role as Motherwell Development League coach and BT Sport pundit he has a fine line to tread but seemed to lose his diplomacy as midnight approached on Saturday.
Making light of an injury is almost a taboo subject with players and former players dropping club allegiances when it comes to players being injured.
Lustig as brave as always????. Every foul on him initially looks career ending, then he recovers thankfully????

He might just pass the ball to me instead????

That’s harsh being a horrible professional but his antics aren’t needed for every foul.

It’s more his pain threshold that is worrying

Brave as a butterfly

Absolutely it’s a foul and yellow card but his reaction????, waving hands, punching ground, holding his knee looking for a wound then gets up and plays on with everything ok. Come on

At least Lustig’s avoided the attentions of that despicable coward Ryan Bowman, the poor man’s Keith Lasley…. pic.twitter.com/owj4RTpuJ6

I agree he got caught no issue with that but his reaction was bit much that’s all. Not the first time either that’s my point

Stephen you played the game long enough to know that what looks like minimal contact on the box can feel quite different on the pitch… Today’s looked a sore one

Glad to see you can comment about that, but not this? Obsessed. pic.twitter.com/5gVdtQCB79

Some bad blood built up between Celtic and Motherwell when they met three times inside a week with the Fir Park side bleating about two penalty awards.
Yesterday’s Celtic v Partick Thistle match was refereed by Steven McLean who dropped off the top flight rota after his handling of the Motherwell v Sevco Betfred Cup semi-final in October.
Lustig was the victim of a very dangerous sliding challenge from Callum Booth that saw the Thistle players studs crash into the Swede’s knee.
McLean decided not to issue any cards for that incident then took no action when goalkeeper Tomas Cerny kicked out at Moussa Dembele.
