Rogic’s return

Tom Rogic will step up his return to fitness in Monday’s Development League match against Motherwell at Cappielow, kick off 6pm.

The midfielder hasn’t played a first team match since the visit of Anderlecht at the start of December but was an unused substitute in the Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle.

With Zenit St Petersburg coming up on Thursday night the return of Rogic would be a timely boost with signs that Celtic’s injury problems are starting to clear up a little.

Mikael Lustig featured against Thistle while Anthony Ralston played against St Johnstone last Monday in the SFA Youth Cup.

Celtic’s Development side have a hectic schedule of games between now and the end of the season with Tommy McIntyre’s side having played six or seven matches less than most of their opponents.

Scott Bain is expected to make his first Celtic appearance in the game against Motherwell with the on loan keeper on the bench for the match against Zenit.
