Mark Hateley hasn’t a clue what Chris Sutton says but he knows that he doesn’t like his views!

The Ibrox Ambassador has worn a blazer and acted as a cheer leader for various regimes and used to have a booming media career with the Daily Record, Radio Clyde and STV.

Sutton has become the most watched, read and ;listened to pundit in the Scottish game as he confronts head on the issues that other pundits side step around.

Speaking in The Sun Hateley said: “Many people have said to me about Chris Sutton – I wouldn’t have a clue what Chris Sutton says because I don’t listen to him.

A lot of people do and it riles them up but that’s what makes good radio and good TV. How long that lasts for…

Gary Neville, I like listening to him away from the commentary – the Monday night stuff. I like that sort of stuff.”

Hateley has kept a low profile at Ibrox since he was accused by Ally McCoist of trying to influence former directors James and Sandy Easdale.

While the former Coventry and Portsmouth striker denied that claim McCoist went onto gardening leave shortly after the story broke.

As well as his Scottish media work Sutton writes a weekly column for the Daily Mail and is a regular on BBC Radio 5 Live.
